After winning five medals in Acapulco (Mexico), Fiocchi Team’s athletes stepped twice on the podium at the second Shotgun World Cup of the season, in Al Ain (UAE). Through an excellent performance, it was the British athlete Kirsty Barr who claimed the silver medal in the Trap women competition, winning her first world cup medal in career, and securing an Olympic quota place for Tokyo 2020. After making it into the final through a shoot-off, the sharpshooter climbed up the scoreboard thanks to a consistent match, shattering 41 out of 50 targets. On the following day, in the Trap Mixed Team event, the Italian athlete Giovanni Pellielo nailed the second success of Fiocchi Team on the layouts of the Al Ain shooting range. The legendary clay shooter - who is a four-time Olympic medalist and a four-time World Champion - closed the match in third place, pocketing the bronze medal. “I would like to congratulate our shooters, who keep on winning with our ammunitions. We are proud to support the best athletes of the planet, at the most prestigious competitions of the world - said President Stefano Fiocchi - This year, our trophies’ showcase can already count seven shotgun World Cup medals: 3 gold, 3 silver and one bronze. And we can’t wait for the next competition to begin, to increase the total tally.” Spotlights are now on the third World Cup stage, to be held in Changwon, South Korea, from the 7th through the 18th of May.
