December 2nd, 2018, first competition day of the 2018/2019 IBU World Cup: Lisa Vittozzi, Dorothea Wierer, Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer claim the 3rd place in the Mixed Relay race.
More than 100 days later, Dorothea Wierer closes in 12th place the last Mass Start of the season, winning the first IBU World Cup trophy of her career.
In between, in those 100 days, the Azzurri team piled up a memorable team performance: 21 total podiums, divided in eight golds, seven silvers and six bronzes. And a total of 60 placements in the top 10.

Lukas Hofer and Dorothea Wierer, 1st in the Single Mixed Relay race at the IBU World Cup in Soldier Hollow (USA)
Dorothea Wierer, 1st in the Mass Start race at the IBU World Championship in Oestersund (SWE)
Dominik Windisch, 1st in the Mass Start race at the IBU World Championship in Oestersund (SWE)
With 904 points, Dorothea Wierer finished atop the IBU World Cup general ranking, winning her first overall crystal globe. Lisa Vittozzi, instead, totalized 882 and finished in 2nd position. In the men’s ranking, Lukas Hofer took 10th place with 694 points, while Dominik Windisch concluded the season in 17th position with 432.
Both Wierer and Vittozzi also added a speciality globe to their tally: the 28-year-old ruled the Pursuit ranking with 327 points, while Vittozzi totalized 140 in the Individual table.
The women’s team closed the season in 5th place with the score of 6.800 points, while the men’s team took 6th position with 6.281.
