Alessandro Fioravanti, Legal Representative of Baschieri & Pellagri Spa, and Nicola Latorre, General Manager of the Defense Industries Agency, today signed an agreement for the concession and management, through a public-private partnership, of the spherical powder production facilities of Powder Military Plant in Fontana Liri in the province of Frosinone.

The cooperation between Baschieri & Pellagri Spa and Defense Industries Agency, a Public Law Body supervised by the Ministry of Defence, with the aim of creating competitive market outlets for its Production Units, is an important result of the strategic relevance of the technical and commercial know-how of Baschieri & Pellagri Spa in supporting the industrial consolidation of Defence activities. This agreement confirms the historical relationship between Baschieri & Pellagri Spa and Defense Industries Agency, which began in 2003 and was suspended in 2017 with the shutdown of the Fontana Liri Plant.

The restart of the production of Gunpowder at Fontana Liri plants is a project on which Fiocchi was already working since some time and represents an important result for the Fiocchi Group, which aims to vertically integrate in the production of small calibre ammunition by enhancing its assets in the civil and Defence worlds, strengthening and expanding industrial synergies on the national territory. Baschieri & Pellagri Spa, controlled by Fiocchi Group, is part of the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), a holding company which operates mainly in engineering, automotive, rail, aviation and defence industries.
