The third stage of the IBU World Cup ended with another medal on our wall thanks to Dorothea Wierer. The Italian biathlete won the silver medal in the Mass Start race dominated by the Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff: during the competition, Dorothea didn’t start very well, but she made a strong come back at the shooting range, where she uses the .22 Biathlon line by Fiocchi Munizioni. For the Italian athlete it’s the third podium of the season in an individual race, which confirms her at the top of general rank, with 17 points more than Tiril Eckhoff. “It's a hard-earned second place, obtained with determination and character - said Wierer at the end of the race - Once again the shooting range was decisive, today more than even". After the Christmas break, the IBU World Cup will continue in Oberhof (GER), from 6 to 12 January 2020.
