Italy’s national anthem was played twice in Al Ain, where Mauro de Filippis and Luigi Lodde conquered the Trap and Skeet World Cup Final, giving Italy and Fiocchi two gold medals and two crystal globes. This was the crowning achievement for De Filippis’s great international season, already full of satisfactions and trophies. After having conquered a Bronze Medal at the World Cup in Lahti (FIN), a bronze medal in the European Championship and a silver medal in the World Championship in Lonato del Garda, the Italian athlete got on the top of the podium in Al Ain giving evidence oh his character and shooting qualities. Luigi Lodde was as good as him: the Skeet specialist, who had already conquered a gold metal at the World Cup in Lahti (FIN) this year, won again in Ad Alain thanks to a great performance and a perfect final, leaving all the opponents behind.
